У дослідженні розглянуто сутність проблеми щодо збереження
ґрунтів, зокрема в країнах Європейського Союзу, яку розглядали ще з 1972 р.,
коли було схвалено Європейську Хартію про ґрунти та інші міжнародні угоди.
У XXI ст. було оприлюднено «Тематичну стратегію з охорони ґрунтів», яка
стала основою для розробки Рамкової директиви з охорони ґрунтів, обговорено
законопроєкт в Брюсселі та Стратегії захисту ґрунтів (2021 р.). Сучасні
європейські законодавчі ініціативи включають різноманітні заходи спрямовані
на збереження та відновлення здоров‘я ґрунтів для майбутніх поколінь.

The study examines the essence of the problem of soil conservation, in particular
in the countries of the European Union, which has been considered since 1972, when the European
Charter on Soils and other international agreements were approved. In the XXI century the
"Thematic Strategy on Soil Protection" was published, which became the basis for the development
of the Framework Directive on Soil Protection, the draft law in Brussels and the Soil Protection
Strategy (2021) were discussed. Modern European legislative initiatives include various measures
aimed at preserving and restoring soil health for future generations.
