Abstract

Political stability and democracy are crucial for Ukraine’s development as an independent state. Stability ensures the effective functioning of institutions, while democracy protects citizens’ rights and strengthens trust in government. Political stability reduces internal conflicts, making governance more predictable. However, Ukraine faces challenges such as frequent government changes, external threats, and low political culture. Despite these, European integration, reforms, and decentralization offer opportunities for progress. Strengthening the rule of law, fostering civic engagement, and combating corruption are key. A stable, democratic Ukraine requires effective institutions, responsible leadership, and an active society to navigate modern challenges and secure long-term development
