Abstract: | Landfill gas as a fuel for continuous bath furnaces in the glass industry is proposed. The calculation study carried out showed that the addition of biogas in an amount of 15% to natural gas does not cause significant fluctuations in the combustion temperature and will practically not affect the temperature level in the furnace. Such use of landfill gas will provide savings of natural gas up to 1500 m3/day for furnaces of small capacity, as well as a significant environmental effect. |
