Abstract: The article examines the main factors affecting the formation of food security in Ukraine in the conditions of a market economy. Food security is considered as a component of national security, which depends on the balance of domestic production, export-import policy, development of the agro-industrial complex, and state regulation of the food market. Particular attention is paid to such aspects as changes in climatic conditions, ensuring the competitiveness of agricultural products, the impact of globalization on the agricultural sector, as well as the role of innovations and investments in the development of agriculture. It is determined that the stable functioning of the food market is a key factor in ensuring the population's access to high-quality and safe food products. The article analyzes the current challenges and prospects of ensuring food security in Ukraine, offering ways to increase the effectiveness of agrarian policy in the conditions of market transformations
