The article presents the results of research to study the effect of various selenium compounds in the diet on average daily gain, feed consumption and heavy metal content in pig meat. The studies examined the dynamics of live weight of animals and feed consumption throughout the experiment. The highest average daily gains, the lowest feed costs and the content of heavy metals in meat were revealed when the organic compound selenium was introduced into the diets at a dose of 0.3 mg/kg of dry matter.
